Autologous stem cell transplants (self-donated transplants)
The Center for Hematology and Hemato-Oncology performs self-donated stem cell transplants to treat patients
with malignant and benign conditions and to strengthen and prolong remission in diseases such as multiple myeloma or
T-cell lymphoma, and for recurring lymphoma or Hodgkin's disease, after a second remission.
The autologous stem cell transplant process
The patient undergoes an initial assessment and a series of tests to determine suitability for transplant.
Once approved for transplant, the patient’s stem cells are collected, and the cells are deep-frozen
in liquid nitrogen until the transplantation.
The patient is hospitalized in the Hematology and Hemato-Oncology center and the stem cells are prepared and administered.
After transplantation and discharge from the hospital, the patient continues with follow-up in the
hematology/hemato-oncology outpatient clinics and day hospital.

especially initial appointments with senior hematologists, so patients can address their concerns quickly.
Rapid diagnosis
Assuta is committed to completing diagnostics within 72 hours, during which patients typically undergo imaging scan,
stem cell biopsy, and lymph node biopsy.
